Learn to Dance Salsa Volume 1 beginners

We all want to have fun. We all love to dance, no matter how terrible we are at it. Music just has a way to speak to our very core. It just moves us and makes us want to dance.
So I came across an opportunity to learn to Salsa. I got the "Learn to Dance Salsa 1 Beginners basic dance techniques".
The hardest part was to find time with my husband to do it. After all you will need your partner present to learn it. I tried without him, didn't work lol.
Now it's not that hard they show you step by step. You get two hours of comprehensive lessons.  Now two hours is a long time. I found 15-30 min a day was good. Just kept re-watching every day what ever part we were working on. Until we got that part down. Then we move on to the next part. That's the great thing of learning at home from a DVD. You can try to learn the same moved over and over again. No one will look at you funny or get frustrated. Well maybe your partner, lol. You get " picture in picture " close up views of all the important moves. Important to see how to move your feet while spinning. Or how your arms need to be.
I found this to be a great light workout as well. Just something a look different to do.

With today's technology and on the go lifestyles, it's no wonder as Americans we are overweight. We spend more time looking at a screen than being outside. Then we complain " how did I get so far ", "why am I always so tired ", " no that scale is broken, no way I weigh that much ".  Or at least that is the ones I say. Now maybe you are not that over weight, but I am. When I started these pills I weighed 187 lbs. Yet this is not the heaviest I have ever been. But I'm looking for ways to shed this post pregnancy weight. OK so now on with the info.

The directions say take two pills a day. For maximum results take four a day. Take with 8oz of water 30 min before eating.

My experiment with these are over a two time frame.

Week one change nothing. Only add taking the pills. No diet or exercise change. Now I like most typical Americans, eat very unhealthy. Lots of meats, sweets and sodas. Very look vegetables. And of course fast food is a staple. OK so I tried different ways of taking these pills. Day one, four pills at once. Bad idea. I was very jittery for a few hours. Couldn't eat those hours. Very cotton mouth. I do not recommend taking four at one time. Day 2 this time still four pills but two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Still made me jittery but not as bad. Whereas this method was better but I found I had trouble sleeping that night. Day three broke it down to two pills a day. Once in the morning, and one in the afternoon. I found this worked the best. Around this day, I did notice more bowel movements. No there were not rushes to the bathroom. Just another go, that is all. Day four through seven were the same, no change. After one week, I was down to 184. A three pound loss. I did had notice I was not finishing off my whole plate anymore. 

Week two. Ugh..diet and exercise time. So I stuck with what worked for me two pills. One in the morning, one early afternoon. Now I did a strick diet I know to work with a cleanse I did before. Below is my diet. The same for each day, the meats and veggies can change for the dinner only. 

Breakfast:
One hard boiled egg and a piece of fruit, for me bananas.

Mid-morning snack:
A handful of almonds and another piece of fruit.

Lunch:
A pouch of tuna in water with crackers and a piece of fruit, apple for me

Mid-Afternoon Snack:
A handful of almonds and fruit, grapes for mine.

Dinner:
Choice of meat:
Turkey burger, turkey breast meat, fish (can't fry it), or boneless skinless chicken breast.
Veggies:
A salad with no dressing, beans, peas, green beans. (NO CORN or POTATOES).
You can do rice, preferred brown. With the fish.

Exercise: walking 30 min a day.

Week two results: Down to 177 lbs a 7 lb weight loss.

In two weeks I lost 10lbs. Over all I would say success!!

The Grapefruit Juice Diet

So last weekend I tried the grapefruit juice diet. So here is the diet stats:

what is allowed:

Fresh Fruit 
Water
Grapefruit Juice (I did Ruby Red)

You have all of those all day long

For dinner it is a sensible meal
Day 1
Bone less skinless oven roasted chicken breast 
Green Beans
Yellow Squash W/Onion

Day 2
Oven baked flounder 
White Rice
Steamed Broccoli

With this diet I had low energy. I did drink about one 32 oz bottle of juice a day. In all I didn't like this diet. There was not more bowel movements, just a tired feeling all day.After 2 days I lost a total of 3lbs. Its just not a diet for me.
